Three manufacturing coys plan to list on Nigerian bourse

Collaboration between the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Manufacturer Association of Nigeria (MAN) is yielding positive result as three manufacturing companies are expecting to list on Nigerian bourse.

The President of MAN, Dr. Frank Jacobs revealed this when the leader of the association visit the management of NSE in Lagos today.

Jacobs while speaking with media said his team visited the exchange because they want a good working collaborating with the Nigerian Stock Exchange which is a window is available to take care of their major challenge which is access to funds.

He noted that collaborating with the NSE will help his members to list on the exchange and raise the needed capital to grow their businesses.

According to him, “During our annual general meeting which took place recently an official of the exchange came and made presentation to our members which triggered three of them to show interest in listing on the exchange. Currently they are working with NSE to get listed.”

We are going to sensitize them on the need to get involves in the stock exchange, Jacobs said.

He stated that Nigerian stock market is a big opportunity for Nigeria to get out of current economy recession.

“Our collaboration with the Nigerian Stock Exchange will address the issue that will help us to grow our manufacturing sector which in turn will grow economy”, he said.
